-Advise clients on Costa Rican law: government affairs, labor and family cases.

Legal:
-Respond all legal inquiries from users.
-Prepared pleadings and written hearing from the Costa Rican Courts of Justice.
-Review complex cases and legal documents in Spanish and translation to English.
-Contracts preparation and review for notarization.
-Update regulation and process provide for the Consulate.
-Responsible for negotiations between the Costa Rican Consulate and USCIS. 
-Authorized immigration agent: 
·  Qualify and process short- and long-term visas, such as student visas, researcher, business, transit, tourism, employee, investor, telework, etc.

·  Coordinate with USCIS officers travel documents for incarcerated Costa Ricans.

·  Provide entry requirements to Costa Rica to users of all nationalities.

· Operate Costa Rica Immigration system and equipment.

-Responsible for the entire passport process at the Consulate:

·  Examine evidence of citizenship and requirements submitted with passport applications or emergency travel documents.

· Process passport applications in the Costa Rican Immigration system. 

· Archive applications files in digital systems.

· Contact applicants to request necessary documents.

-Act as principal mediation attorney in the Sutel Conciliation Center.
-Support Human Resources in labor matters.
-Experience in negotiating legal contracts.
-Manage telecommunication services complaints from customers against operators.
-Work on creation of new telecommunication regulation, investigating LATAM law.
-Review the bills on telecommunications sent it to Sutel for consultation.
-Manage the approval process for telecommunications marketing contracts services.
-Handle inquiries made by other public entities, review regulatory projects with effects on
telecommunications.
-Responsible to handle requests from the Ombudsman's Office and Courts of Justice.
-Represent the institution in the Regulations and quality improvement Authority.
-Conduct legal research to resolve complex cases.
-Integrate the Committee for Regulatory Improvement of the Government of Costa Rica.
-Drafting, negotiation and legal advice of documents, contracts, and agreements.

Responsible to handle employees administrative sanctioning procedures, such as workplace and sexual harassment.

Administrative Contracting Area:

- Contracts reviews.

- Review and manage the deal execution process for public tenders.

- Resolution for payment claims and invoices.

Regulatory Area:

- Representation and advice in the Ministry ethics commission.
- Legal criteria elaboration.
- Bill’s revision and guidelines elaboration.
- Serve on assigned Committees such as Ethics Commission of the Ministry.

• Administrative Procedure Area:

- Appeals.
- Administrative litigation hearings and requests from the Ombudsman's Office.
