UNITED NATIONS DISPUTE TRIBUNAL
►Litigated three cases which appealed the administrative decisions purported to be in non-compliance with both the terms of employment and employment contract on behalf of a UN staff before United Nations Dispute Tribunal. Determined legal strategy for all cases. Successfully defeated motions set forth by Respondent's counsel. Successfully litigated and obtained Motions for Interim Relief under Article 10.2 of the UNDT Statute. Negotiated resolution on client's behalf.

NEW YORK CIVIL LAW

NEW YORK STATE UNIFIED COURT SYSTEM ACCESS TO JUSTICE PROGRAM
►Represented litigants in legal proceedings in New York Civil Courts. Provided legal advice to pro-se 
and potential litigants on Housing & Consumer Debt issues. Provided legal information and advice on New York Civil Law Matters. 

NEW YORK CITY BAR ASSOCIATION - CENTER BAR JUSTICE CENTER CONSUMER BANKRUPTCY PROJECT
►Provided legal assistance to low-income consumers with outstanding debts.

► Successfully assisted with complex, highly sensitive affirmative asylum case where asylum was granted.
► Drafted a supplemental legal memorandum filed with the Baltimore Immigration Court arguing that the United Nations Convention on Transnational Crime is a self-executing treaty applicable to the asylum claim. 
► Provided legal analysis to various asylum case briefs presented to the Board of Immigration Appeals and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit. 
► Drafted a Motion to Re-open filed with the Board of Immigration Appeals. 
► Drafted legal and research memorandums for various immigration cases, including, removal cases, request for prosecutorial discretion and humanitarian parole. 
► Performed extensive legal research on appellate case law and edited appellate briefs.

►Selected to assist in drafting the first comprehensive report of U.S. jurisprudence in statelessness that was co-published by UNHCR and Open Society Justice Initiative in December 2012 (report: Citizens of Nowhere Solutions For the Stateless in the U.S. available at: http://www.unhcr.org/refworld/docid/50c620f62.html.) 
► Used nationality research and collected evidence to prepare statelessness determinations for UNHCR clients based on de jure requirements under the 1954 Convention Relating to the Status of Stateless People. 
► Drafted legal memorandums regarding various clients’ statelessness status.
► Drafted memorandum that provided recommendations for a Country Report that addressed issues and legal solutions to statelessness in the U.S.; and assisted in editing the Country Report.
