During law school, Michael was a student articles editor for the Journal of Law and Inequality, and served as an extern for the Honorable Susan N. Burke in the Fourth Judicial District of Minnesota. His academic awards include honors in legal research and writing and the dean’s list.

Before practicing law, Michael served as a Judicial Administration Fellow at the Sacramento Superior Court, as well as an AmeriCorps member.
