We are seeking a highly skilled C# and .NET Specialist for a one-year contract position within the Enforcement Section of the DMV Systems Unit in North Carolina. This fully remote role is designed for candidates residing in the Eastern Time Zone. Join our dedicated team, where you will contribute to essential software applications that support law enforcement operations and uphold public safety across the state.
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive software support for key applications including the Fuel Tax Compliance System (FuelTaCS) and the Motor Vehicle Inspection Law Enforcement System (MILES).Facilitate NCSHP personnel in issuing citations for commercial vehicle violations using advanced software tools.Maintain application functionality, ensuring that NCSHP officers can easily access critical information remotely.Troubleshoot and debug applications to ensure optimal performance and reliability.Collaborate with internal teams to uphold software quality and compliance with state regulations.
Required Skills
In-depth knowledge of software development principles, including analysis, design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation.Proficiency in .NET Development Frameworks and programming languages, specifically C# and C++.Solid understanding of database management, version control systems, and XML.Demonstrated experience in Object-Oriented Analysis and Joint Application Development (JAD).Strong project leadership capabilities and effective oral and written communication skills.
Qualifications
U.S. Citizenship or valid Green Card is mandatory.Proven experience in software development roles, specifically in supporting production applications.A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
