Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Legal Operations Specialist to join the Legal team at Alto. You will come on board to assist with acting as the main point to manage contract management and tracking, contracting support, licensing and business qualification tracking, assist with routing subpoena requests, and assist with creating and submitting reporting for compliance purposes, Jira ticket triaging, and assisting with tracking legal and compliance team metrics.

A high level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information, as well as the ability to work well with people at all levels inside and outside the company, is essential.

  • Coordinate tracking and execution of agreements using our contract lifecycle management system, DocuSign CLM, and explore other alternatives for efficient and cost effective contract management.
  • Assist with contract review - in particular NDAs and day to day ordinary course vendor agreements.
  • Assist counsel with project management, fact gathering and analysis to support legal advice.
  • Manage upkeep on state business qualifications.
  • Help track compliance and legal metrics.
  • Management of Jira ticketing/triage and assign tasks - build reporting on metrics.
  • Build cross-functional relationships, partner closely with stakeholders, and keep multiple teams and projects on track in parallel.
  • Manage entity (org chart) structure, corporate doing business filings, governance-related file management.

Minimum Qualifications

A Bit About You


  • 10+ years of legal operations and/or corporate paralegal experience (either in a law firm and/or in house).
  • Experience with a document management system, preferably DocuSign CLM.
  • Contract review and drafting experience from our own templates and third party paper - in particular familiarity with reviewing and negotiating NDAs and day-to-day vendor contracts.
  • 5+ years experience with corporate entity tracking and entity doing business licensing and management activities.
  • A bachelor’s degree.
  • Able to work independently with a willingness to roll up their sleeves and pitch in as needed.
  • Responsive, agile and action-oriented. Able to drive towards efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ability to hold yourself accountable and a desire to create order out of chaos.
  • Extremely organized and detail-oriented with ability to prioritize multiple assignments, pivot when needed and operate in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with a diverse range of people and job functions
  • Experience driving projects from conception to completion.
  • Experience/fluency in Google Suite (Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Groups, etc.), Microsoft (Word, Excel) and Adobe Acrobat.

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Startup and/or in-house legal experience where you had to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with constantly changing priorities.
  • Experience working in the Healthcare sector - knowledge of privacy requirements relating to regulated healthcare businesses/HIPAA.
  • Paralegal certificate (or state equivalent).

    • Occasionally ascending or descending stairs, ramps and the like.
    • Moving about to accomplish tasks and/or moving from one worksite to another.
    • Adjusting or moving objects up to 20 pounds in all directions.
    • Operating motor vehicles.
    • Occasional sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing/driving/flying

Salary and Benefits

Salary Range: $140,000 - $175,000

Commission Eligible: No.

Equity Eligible: Yes

Travel: Yes. Up to 15% of the time.

Location Requirement: Employment at Alto is limited to individuals residing in the following states: Washington, California, Nevada, Colorado, Texas, and New York.
