Job Description
Generate and evaluate product packaging, nutrition labels, ingredients, and allergen statements for compliance with USDA and FDA regulations.Utilize the FSIS label submission and approval system for label verification and approval.Use the CFR database for verification of USDA and FDA regulations.Manage the regulatory review process for new and reformulated food products.Maintain compliance for existing products.Review and substantiate claims independently, providing regulatory guidance to the R&D team.Ensure new products meet the required claims.Possess knowledge of raw materials, ingredient functionality, and standards of identity.Manage the nutrition label program for various food production units including commissary, bakery, and bulk manufacturing.Collaborate with multiple teams to ensure accurate labeling on food products.Stay informed about recalls related to foods and ingredients and communicate relevant information to facilities.Stay up-to-date with FDA and USDA regulations, including the ability to read and interpret laws and regulatory guidelines.Maintain attention to detail in all regulatory processes.Communicate effectively with internal team members and Governmental regulatory agencies including USDA and FDA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00
