Raytheon is seeking a Manager, Contracts for our Advanced Products & Solutions Strategic Business Unit (APS)  to support the Radar Sustainment Portfolio within the Radio Frequency Solutions (RFS) SSBU. The successful candidate will work in a challenging, fast-paced environment.  This position will report to the Sr. Manager, Contracts for the RFS Radar Sustainment Portfolio.

This position is an onsite role to collaborate and support the program team located in El Segundo, CA.

 What You Will Do:

  • Closely partner with functional program team members to understand, guide and support performance of contractual requirements.
  • Support the preparation and submission of various proposals for new business, including spares and repairs.
  • Provide guidance and support to program team to ensure compliance with internal policies/procedures and the regulatory environment, while ensuring business/financial goals are achieved.
  • Assist in managing internal and external customer relationships to ensure key customer desires are met. 
  • Identify risks, assess performance requirements scope applicability and advise management of contractual rights and obligations, and manage the contracts in the portfolio post-award. 
  • Interface with customers during the contract execution phase and must be prepared to advise the program team in carrying out the terms of the contract, offering solutions to mitigate contractual/program risks.
  • Act as a focal point of contact with the customer for all contractual matters, change management, and driving contractual issues to closure.

 Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business, finance, or related field and a minimum 8 years of prior experience, OR an Advanced degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
  • Experience with US Government (USG) contracts administration / management including proposals, cost structures, performance requirements, delivery schedules, terms and conditions or other closely related contracts experience
  • Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and / or Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplemental (DFARS) and related government regulations
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience with proposals and contract administration of USG Sustainment contracts
  • Experience handling a diverse portfolio of customers
  • Experience with Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Fixed Price Incentive Fee (FPIF), Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF), Time & Material (T&M) contract types.
  • Demonstrated business acumen; ability to recognize risk elements in business transactions
  • Professional presence complemented by outstanding written and verbal communication skills and influencing skills
  • Team Player with strong interpersonal skills working effectively within team environment and customers to drive results
  • Flexible and capable of multi-tasking while delivering timely, high-quality products
  • Ability to prioritize based on shifting business priorities in a fluid environment
  • Focus on responsiveness with strong time management and organizational skills
  • Computer proficiency; experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Adobe
  • Advanced Degrees such as JD Law Degree or MBA or relevant Contracts Certifications such as CPCM or CFCM

This position requires a security clearance. DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. The salary range for this role is 105,000 USD - 221,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
