Job Summary (Primary Function)
The Sr. Manager to Assoc. Director, US Commercial Contract and Budget Management will submit and manage the review process for all assigned contracts. Develop and maintain best practices, training and other resources in support of the contracts management process, in collaboration with NA contracts/ICE-360 super-users, legal and procurement. Provide project and budget management support for other commercial activities, as needed.This is a headquarters based role thar requires 4 days in the office and allows for 1 day remote.
Essential Functions Of The Job (Key Responsibilities)
Lead the development, roll-out and maintenance of best practices and tools for the NA contract submission and management process, in collaboration with NA contracts/ICE-360 super-users, legal and procurementLead the development and maintenance of contracts management training materials and resources, in collaboration with NA contracts super-users, legal and procurement Facilitate and manage the review process for all assigned contracts (submission to execution)Review contract intake forms; work with contract sponsors to obtains missing informationSubmit contract requests into ICE-360 for legal review and procurement review (if applicable)Liaise with Incyte legal & vendors in negotiations until fully executedWork with contract sponsors & vendors to ensure timely completion of:INC required assessments (Privacy, Cybersecurity, PVG), as applicableNew Vendor Forms (for all new vendors)Submit PO requests (on behalf of Contract Sponsors) to Accounts PurchasingTrain new NA contract sponsors and super-users, as neededEnable active cross-functional communication/ collaboration among the NA contracts/ICE-360 super-users, as needed, through appropriate methods to include meeting logistics, agendas/minutes and facilitation.Lead the development, launch and maintenance of a project and financial planning tool, to support transparency and oversight of budgets and key projects, in collaboration with finance and key business stakeholders.Provide project management support for other commercial activities, as neededBuild strong relationships and collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and quality execution of all his/her assigned projects.Develop and apply metrics for deliverables under his/her purview.Create and maintain presentation slides, tracking tools and other summary documents, reports and/or databases in support of commercial activities.
Qualifications (Minimal acceptable level of education, work experience, and competency):
Bachelor degree (B.A., B.S.) is required. Advanced degree in science or business is preferredMinimum of 7 (B.A., B.S.) or 5 (M.Sc.) years of experience in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry or related fieldsProven Project Management experience is required, PMP certificate preferredExperience with the contracting process and platforms in a pharma environmentDemonstrated high level of competence with computers is essentialExtensive experience with MS Office Applications is requiredDemonstrate success in developing effective solutions to complex problems is requiredDemonstrate success in establishing successful working relationships with a diverse range of internal and external key stakeholdersMust be a dependable self-starter. Must be capable of working independently on multiple projects with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet strict deadlinesMust possess excellent organization skills, and be able to operate effectively in a heavily metricized organization, where a demanding workload requires balancing multiple responsibilities simultaneouslyMust possess excellent communication and interpersonal interaction skills
