One of the largest tech companies based in Seattle, WA is hiring a Legal Assistant who is an expert in compliance. Role will be 100% onsite in Seattle, WA.

Job Description

You will navigate complex product regulations and develop and implement related compliance actions. This position requires partnering with legal and business teams on proposed actions and coordinating across multiple teams using technology to implement processes and policies to effectuate those actions. You must have strong prior work experience in a professional setting, a positive attitude, and strong organizational skills. Effective communication, both verbally and in writing, is essential. The role will require self-motivation to learn the operations and involve both independent and team work in a fast-paced environment that is constantly changing. Great judgment, a sense of humor, and a desire to learn and be curious are also important.

Responsibilities

Own specific compliance categories.Handle escalations, questions, and regulators.Manage emails and handle appeals from sellers.Perform a combination of individual and collaborative work.Partner with legal and business teams on proposed actions to stay within compliance on product safety.

Essential Skills

3+ years of relevant experience in product safety and compliance (electronics, chemicals, automotive).Strong written and oral communication skills.MUST have compliance experience Self-motivated to learn operations.Ability to manage internal and external escalations.Research skills and ability to sort through complex documentation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree.5+ years of relevant experience in product safety and compliance (electronics, chemicals, automotive).Experience working with regulators (Federal and state agencies).Skills in researching, analyzing, and synthesizing federal and state regulations.Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and adjust quickly to meet deadlines.Strong organizational skills with follow through.Attention to detail and project management skills.Experience with Prop 65 (California).Proficiency in Excel (including Pivot tables), Sequel queries, and data analytic systems.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00
