What you'll do...

Senior Counsel – Walmart Health & Wellness - Specialty

Join Health and Wellness Legal in supporting a team of vision center and optical professionals committed to the mission of helping our customers save money and live better through optical health. In the Senior Counsel - Health & Wellness, Specialty role, you will provide timely and sophisticated legal advice to your optical and hearing clients, draft and interpret legal documents/contracts, build relationships and interact with various internal Walmart teams.

What you'll do: 

  • Draft and negotiate third party payer, provider, merchandising and supplier agreements
  • Support regulatory compliance and clinical / business operations to mitigate corporate risk
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders

What you'll bring:

  • You are a subject matter expert in healthcare and/or optical law
  • You have proven success in drafting healthcare agreements that include regulatory issues such as corporate practice, fraud and abuse, and privacy
  • You have experience with optical third-party payer agreements, managed care, Medicare/Medicaid
  • You’re driven to execute and act quickly and have strong communication/interpersonal skills
  • You have experience working in cross-functional teams within a corporate environment

The annual salary range for this position is $130,000.00-$260,000.00
 
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Law degree from an accredited law school and 5 years’ experience in law.
