The Data Protection Counsel – Information Security serves as a member of the Motorola Solutions, Inc. Data Protection - Products team and a subject matter expert on privacy and security compliance. In addition, this role will serve as legal and compliance advisor to the Market Readiness and Customer Due Diligence Response Teams in the development and maturity of their Market Readiness security and privacy maturity and Customer Information Security Due Diligence Response Programs. While the Data Protection Counsel will report to the Sr. Privacy Counsel, Information Security and Services, he/she will also work closely and collaboratively with the services organization, internal product, engineering, legal, cybersecurity, compliance operations and business teams.
Responsibilities:
Required Skills & Qualifications:
CIPP/US, CIPP/E, CIPT and/or CIPM certifications required.
Security certification (CISSP, CIPM, etc) required.
Working knowledge of global data and privacy laws and standards.
Working knowledge of NIST RMF, NIST PF, NIST 800-53, ISO 27000 series and SOC2 trust criteria. Working knowledge of FBI CJIS Security Policy desired.
General understanding of cloud industry technologies, IaaS, PaaS and SaaS.
Experience with OneTrust Privacy Management Platform desired.
Practical yet creative problem-solving approach that emphasizes addressing business needs while protecting companies interests.
