**Job Description :**
News Corp is seeking an experienced Intellectual Property Paralegal to join their HQ IP team in New York, NY. This role is crucial in managing global brands such as The Wall Street Journal, Barron’s, HarperCollins, and the New York Post. Successful candidates should have extensive prior IP experience working in a busy corporate legal department.
Key Responsibilities
– Manage global trademark, copyright, patent, and domain name portfolios
– Handle prosecution, enforcement, and litigation matters
– Conduct in-house trademark clearance searches and prepare summaries for attorney review
– Review trademark searches and collect specimens of use
– Prepare trademark maintenance and renewal applications
– Assist with copyright registration procedures
– Perform basic patent docketing and maintenance
– Maintain and update IP databases
– Correspond with foreign counsel and vendors worldwide
Qualifications
**Experience and Education:
– 8+ years of domestic and international IP paralegal experience
– Bachelor’s degree required
– Prior law firm experience preferred
**Technical Skills:
– Proficiency in Saegis database and USPTO’s eTEAS system
– Familiarity with WebTMS or similar trademark docketing systems
– Experience with Copyright Office website functions
– Expertise in online database tools for IP management

Pay Range: 85,000 – 110,000
