This role sits on the HR Legal team with our employment attorneys. The role works closely with teams in our Legal, Compliance, and Policy Org as well as People and Places (HR) and Finance organizations.

What you'll bring
8+ years of paralegal or similar experience at a law firm or in-house with expertise in HR (employment) lawWell-developed program management skills, including defining program outcomes, preparing project plans and key milestones and managing teams to deliver project goalsLitigation experience either at an outside law firm or in houseDeep knowledge of HR legal concepts, terminology and principles including wage and hour and leave laws for exampleSignificant experience working with complex data and metrics for reporting or influencing changeStrong written and verbal communication skills, including being able to identify the most relevant information to effectively influence and drive changeStrong working knowledge of GSuite, spreadsheets, and other database tools Data expert able to work with data to draw meaningful insights and communicate findings in a way that’s easy to understandA learner and innovator who’s not afraid to try something new, experiment and has a bias for action (try it and learn)Someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment with a “can do” and “one team” mentalityStrong personal ethical code and integrity and deep respect for privacy and confidentialityAlignment with our Legal, Compliance, and Policy Organization ethos, which requires a strong commitment and accountability to the company and each other and connecting to others with as humans and colleagues
How you will lead
As the Senior Employment Law Paralegal, you will partner closely with our in-house attorneys, our global HR team, and our network of global law firms. Our world moves fast and is constantly evolving, so every day is different and exciting.
Key Responsibilities Include
Supporting and coordinating end-to-end litigation management, including matter creation, legal holds, document collection/eDiscovery, and witness preparationImplementing and maintaining processes to monitor new laws and developments in the external environment and translating those into actionsDriving continuous improvement by leveraging best practices and developing repeatable frameworks and building capability in others.Establishing process rigor and procedures that help HR Legal be efficient and effective, through technology, methodology, skills, and toolsBuilding relationships across broader teams/functions to effectively tackle problems for our stakeholdersDriving and partnering across teams on moderate to complex HR Legal projects to define project outcomes and create frameworks to deliver business outcomes, making teams more efficient and creating delightful experiences for our stakeholders and customersCoaching and teaching other paralegals or program managers about Intuit’s processes, templates and tools in area of expertiseUnderstanding what’s most important to the end goal and key priorities and staying focused on that despite other competing priorities and dependenciesReceiving and giving feedback and coaching as needed across boundaries and functions Drafting letters and routine legal documentsCreating dashboards and other metricsHelping identify trends and sharing “closed loop,” retrospective insightsSharing and tracking trends and “closed loop” insights to proactively anticipate issues and continually improve
