Role Overview
The Counsel and Compliance Manager plays a critical role in managing and optimizing lease agreements, service level agreements (SLAs), and ensuring compliance with the company’s legal and financial obligations. This position supports procurement and operational FM teams, driving the effectiveness of vendor relationships and contract management. Reporting directly to senior leadership, the Counsel and Compliance Manager will enhance operational efficiency by providing centralized coordination and risk mitigation in contract execution and oversight.
This is a remote position with competitive compensation and an opportunity to work flexibly across regions. The Counsel and Compliance Manager will contribute to strategic growth and operational efficiency by ensuring that all agreements, including leases and Master Statements of Work (MSOWs), are in alignment with the company’s business goals, mitigating risks, and streamlining processes.
Key Responsibilities
Review and manage all current and future lease agreements to ensure service and financial compliance. Facilitate communication with facility managers about key lease points and financial impacts. Educate onsite teams about lease terms and obligations to improve compliance. Refine SLAs to establish clear vendor expectations and deliverables. Serve as the main point of contact for Waymo procurement, ensuring accurate and timely contract updates. Ensure MSOWs are updated and compliant, reducing the risk of disputes. Identify cost-saving opportunities through lease optimization and renegotiation. Improve procurement efficiency by centralizing contract management and vendor communications. Mitigate legal and financial risks through active contract monitoring and education.
Qualifications
10 + years of experience in contract management, including lease review and procurement, at a major law firm or multinational corporation. Strong organizational and communication skills. Proven ability to streamline operational processes and ensure compliance. Experience with contract management tools such as IronClad
