The Environmental Operations team ensures all environmental policies and procedures are in compliance throughout McNeilus facilities. The Environmental Specialist Sr will lead the activities of environmental and sustainability programs in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policies, guidelines, and objectives.

 

YOUR IMPACT:  

These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.

  • Lead McNeilus’s environmental compliance programs related to, but not limited to: air permitting, record keeping and compliance, wastewater treatment, storm water management, hazardous and non-hazardous waste management, and community right to know reporting.

  • Manage continual activities to ensure local, state, and federal environmental laws and regulations are being followed and there are no adverse environmental impacts and promote sustainability.

  • Complete required inspections to maintain compliance with applicable environmental regulations.

  • Provide complex research for projects by collecting environmental data and providing project documentation.

  • Oversee internal audit programs and third-party vendor audits.

  • Lead projects and cross functional teams to reduce waste to landfill, energy, water and hazardous waste that will ultimately reduce environmental related risk, liability and cost to the Company.

  • Monitor progress of environmental improvement programs using metrics.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:   

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field.

  • Five (5) or more years of experience.

  • Complexity, Judgment and Problem Solving: Generally diversified and moderately difficult work. Requires judgement in the adaptation and interpretation of established practices and procedures to meet problems and situations to which the application is not clearly defined.

Pay Range:

$72,200.00 - $116,200.00

 

The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
