Senior Paralegal, Global Marketing Partnerships

Position Details:

Function Related Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop strong, collaborative working relationships with Legal colleagues in corporate functions, network groups, and Operating Units, marketing business clients, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Work with function colleagues to drive global strategy and processes for the Company’s key marketing partnerships and other strategic global partnerships, including those related to: creative, advertising, and media agencies; sports, entertainment, influencer/talent, music, and other marketing sponsorships and assets; branded merchandise, licensing, and retail operations; and marketing procurement and related digital technology.
  • Draft, assist in negotiating, and ensure appropriate internal review of contracts and supporting documents.
  • Ensure projects are integrated in key databases (e.g., iManage, OneDrive, and new platforms), and otherwise ensure good document governance around commercial contracting.
  • In partnership with attorney, advise clients on negotiating strategy as well as contractual requirements and risks.
  • Assist in establishing project management routines and best practices for communication and document management, project plans and progress tracking, timelines and adherence to deadlines, resource allocation, and status reporting to relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide training to clients on recurrent issues relevant to commercial agreements and use of technology and to promote self-sufficiency where appropriate.
  • Support attorneys in researching and preparing communications in relation to contractual rights and obligations, and issues related to breach of contract.
  • Attend meetings and participate in calls, including with global teams.
  • Assist in establishing, supporting, and coordinating global network teams to provide efficient and effective legal services related to commercial transactions globally.
  • Help train and develop legal colleagues in network teams.
  • Other duties related to the support of global marketing partnership relations.

 

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements/Skills:

  • Minimum 7+ years of experience as a transactional paralegal or equivalent role.
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication.
  • Autonomy – work effectively with minimum supervision.
  • Confidentiality – ability to handle confidential and sensitive issues with maturity and professionalism.
  • Technologically savvy and digitally literate – ability to use Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, and comfortable learning new technologies.
  • Organized, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Passionate about our products and business and being part of a winning team.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or an Associate’s Degree with a Paralegal Studies Certificate from an ABA approved program.

Pay Range:

$91,400 – $110,000

Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.

 

Annual Incentive Reference Value Percentage:

7.5

Annual Incentive reference value is a market-based competitive value for your role. It falls in the middle of the range for your role, indicating performance at target.
