Your Role

The successful candidate will work and train with highly skilled legal and contract professionals while growing their contract administration skills. This is an ideal full-time position for professionals approaching mid-level contracting experience who want to engage in a contracting role for disaster recovery contracts.

The ideal candidate for this role will have experience drafting, modifying, and redlining various contracts. This role does not simply process contracts and does not rely on the legal department and /or standard contract templates for next steps in a negotiation. Our team requires expertise in independently reviewing and modifying other parties’ terms and conditions.

  • Manage, participate in, and/or conduct contract administration, contract negotiation, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract execution in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.
  • Assess risk within each contract and utilize this assessment to independently conduct contract negotiations and determine next steps.
  • Manage, participate in, and/or conduct contract-related administrative/clerical duties to complete business development proposals and/or contract negotiations successfully.
  • Actively monitor contract compliance, including tracking reporting needs and deadlines.
  • Read, analyze, interpret, modify, and facilitate execution of contract documents and technical documents.
  • Summarize contract requirements and ensure contract execution abides by organizational policies.
  • Establish and maintain excellent customer relations.
  • Advise supervisors of contractual rights, obligations, and risks.
  • Actively manage and track contract communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to process improvement.
  • Be responsible for multiple task orders and contracts with varied contract types.
  • Monitor and track upcoming contractual actions and deadlines.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as required.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree, which required substantial writing and analysis, from an accredited college is highly desired; an additional 3 years of directly relevant experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
  • At least 2-5 years of progressively responsible experience in a contracts terms and conditions-focused role. Legal experience without direct contract experience will not be considered for this role.
  • Well-developed communication skills with the ability to interface with multiple levels of operations personnel and administrative staff are required
  • Outstanding customer service, interpersonal, and supervision skills.
  • Reliable, highly organized, and motivated
  • Must excel in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment while maintaining focus and balancing priorities
  • Excellent attention to detail is essential to this position
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to receive and execute instructions
  • Self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented
  • Flexible and able to immediately adapt to changing priorities
  • Must be available as needed during disaster activations if required Ability to multi-task and work under pressure to meet strict deadlines
  • Work attentively with minimal supervision
  • Other tasks and duties, as may be assigned
