Department Summary

Our legal teams support the innovators driving the growth and success of EchoStar and its subsidiaries. From identifying and supporting a variety of corporate legal matters to negotiating the industry’s evolving legal landscape, our corporate counselors bring their own kind of invention to effect positive change across the company and their own careers.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Assist real estate attorneys in managing the intake and assignment of lease submissions and real estate projects from internal stakeholders
  • Perform due diligence, research, initial review and negotiation of ancillary lease documents including, but not limited to, Amendments, Memorandums, and Subordination and Non-Disturbance Agreements
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, such as cataloging, filing, organizing and retrieving legal documents and managing large-scale leasing data
  • Monitor and communicate status updates of legal review as requested by senior Legal Counsel and internal stakeholders
  • Assist with closing duties (e.g., collecting, filing, preparing execution ready copies, and circulating documents for review and signature)
  • Maintain and update lease activities in project tracking tools
  • Review and pre-flag underlying leasing documents for issues
  • Act as a point of contact for contract interpretation questions from junior business team members and coordinate with applicable attorneys or subject matter experts
  • Special projects as needed

Skills, Experience and Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, or 3 years of equivalent experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or real estate

Skills and Qualifications: 

  • Strong attention to detail, self-starter, excellent follow through
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently
  • Review, understand and communicate Lease requirements to stakeholders
  • Excellent written, verbal, organization, analytical, and research skills
  • Paralegal certificate preferred but not required
  • Energy, resourcefulness, good sense of humor, and a demonstrated desire to achieve

Salary Ranges
Compensation: $54,650.00/Year - $78,100.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location. Candidates need to successfully complete a pre-employment screen, which may include a drug test and DMV check.
