This opening will be positioned on the Insights & Performance Optimization team within P&C/Pet Compliance, reporting to Brian Neumayer.

The role will play a crucial part in supporting our reporting and continuous monitoring efforts, assisting with the continued development of compliance risk monitoring for P&C and Pet.

Expertise in data querying (e.g., SQL) and experience with the Power Platform is strongly recommended.

This position is open to remote work options.

As a Senior Analyst, you will help to ensure that business operations are conducted in compliance with regulatory and legal requirements and company policies. You’ll participate in various types of compliance reviews with business units to detect compliance related issues and help build and deliver innovative solutions.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyzes various regulations impacting the products and procedures of assigned product and/or functional area. Assists in development of policies and procedures and supports collaboration with our business partners to implement them.
  • Clearly communicates policy changes and updates impacting compliance and responds to inquiries.
  • Manages internal manuals, documentation files, and other related regulatory records to ensure that our records and resources are up-to-date and remain accurate.
  • Assists in the development of various reports and metrics.
  • Performs testing on business unit procedures to ensure compliance.
  • Collaborates with business unit to assist in developing corrective actions for identified compliance issues.
  • Stays up to date on compliance and regulatory industry updates and trends by attending professional seminars and continued education programs.
  • May host, assist with hosting or support compliance training or presentations for our business partners.
  • Identifies innovation and continuous improvement opportunities. Follows through to develop the ideas in collaboration with business partners and other Compliance staff.
  • May participate in regulatory exams, investigations, subpoenas, etc.

May Perform Other Responsibilities As Assigned.

Reporting Relationships: Reports to a Manager, Technical Director, Director, or Associate Vice President

Typical Skills And Experiences

Education: Undergraduate studies in business administration, insurance, business ethics, criminal justice, computer science, finance or pre-law is preferred.

License/Certification/Designation: You may be required to acquire professional licenses/registrations within a designated time period.

Experience: Typically, three or more years of related work experience in financial services, insurance, compliance or a related subject area.

Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: Able to build and cultivate relationships. Demonstrates strong communication skills. Ability to set priorities, organize work, and meet timelines. Creative, innovative, analytical thinking and proven problem-solving skills. Strong research and documentation development skills. Insurance, and/or financial services knowledge is preferred. Data analytics experience is a plus.

Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies and experiences may take precedence.

Staffing exceptions to the above must be approved by the Director and HR Business Partner.

Overtime Eligibility: Exempt (Not eligible)

Working Conditions: Normal office environment. Nonstandard work hours may be required due to pending compliance issues and project work.

Nationwide pays on a geographic-specific salary structure and placement within the actual starting salary range for this position will be determined by a number of factors including the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; and other conditions of employment. If a Sales job, Sales Incentives, based on performance goals are possible in addition to this range.

The national salary range for Senior Analyst, Corporate Compliance : $54,000.00-$111,500.00

The expected starting salary range for Senior Analyst, Corporate Compliance : $60,000.00 - $90,000.00
