A Los Angeles based company is looking to hire a Legal Coordinator to support their in-house legal team.

Pay

$50,000 - $56,000 depending on experience

Description

Administrative support to Legal group including phone calls with Licensees, drafting, data entry, spreadsheet creation, distribution of documents, filing, and copying/scanning.

Update weekly and monthly status of agreements for management, including reporting to Japan.

Maintain Legal/Licensing Tracker, which keeps track of where all contracts are in the pipeline.

Request, follow-up and track necessary paperwork (e.g., outstanding contracts, exhibits, general documents, Certificate of Insurance, testing certificates) needed from Licensees in order to meet license agreement terms.

Update status reports on a daily basis, and actively participate in weekly status meetings.

Input contract terms into Dependable Solutions database.

Coordinate with Creative department in order to assist Licensees with initial set-up and assist with troubleshooting Licensee submission issues.

Generally assist Paralegal, including distributing license agreements, drafting agreement summaries, researching, and coordinating a high volume of other correspondence.

Assist Licensing department as needed with database and paper file management, copying, and audits.

Interact with internal departments, Licensees, and customers to resolve customer service inquiries.

Under attorney supervision, revise and redline documents and/or contracts.

Once per week, check for recall notices and notify Licensing Director for any flagged Licensees or products.

Draft customs letters and trademark letters and route the letters to the IP Manager for signature.

Upon request, pull and send executed contracts, create redlines, and provide research and redaction services.

Forward all drafting requests to Outside Counsel.

Provide support tasks for Outside Counsel, such as provide research, answer questions, provide reference materials, revise drafts to comply with Sanrio internal guidelines, etc.
