As the compliance director for Progressive Next Inc. (one of the Level20 operating entities), you’ll develop, implement, and manage the compliance program for new financial technology businesses in consumer lending, credit, and banking. In partnership with internal and external collaborators, you’ll ensure compliance with applicable regulations and requirements, developing the compliance management system, supporting documentation, and auditing governance to ensure ongoing compliance of the programs. You’ll build, manage, and develop a team to support compliance activities, implementation, and ongoing management.

This role is open to hybrid or remote work. This position requires travel to Progressive’s headquarters in Mayfield Village, Ohio, and Level20 in Cleveland, OH.

Must-have Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in business, finance, law or related field of study and a minimum of seven years compliance experience with at least three years compliance leadership experience in credit, lending and/or consumer banking.

Preferred Skills

Demonstrated knowledge of federal, state and local regulations relevant to credit, lending and/or consumer banking FinTech businesses, including the ability to draft policies, procedures, and manuals to support a compliance management system

  • Ability to respond to regulatory inquiries and prepare reports for internal and external collaborators, including but not limited to regulatory bodies
  • Industry knowledge of the consumer banking and lending ecosystem, particularly in FinTech models
  • Ability to advise and collaborate with senior business partners in and outside of the business unit on compliance matters, including product and marketing material review, procedure review, and training based on regulatory changes and developments
  • Ability to solve complex problems, collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and streamline processes

Compensation

  • $146,000 - $176,000/year
  • Gainshare bonus up to 50% of your eligible earnings based on company performance
  • Participation in our restricted stock units plan
