What you’ll do

You will be responsible for overseeing the entire contract lifecycle, including vendor selection, contracting, purchasing, vendor performance management, risk mitigation and planning for business continuity, including:

  • pursuing efficiencies and process improvements in vendor onboarding systems and
  • become primary resource for onboarding and ongoing vendor management, including renewal and service expansion
  • working with IT and Tech departments to ensure maximized use of existing resources and vendors and reduce instances of duplicative vendor relationships (i.e., the engagement of two vendors that provide identical products/services)
  • leading negotiations and contracting with vendors to secure advantageous contracts that are uniquely tailored to fit business needs while ensuring alignment with company policies and legal requirements
  • support internal stakeholders in the management of escalation and ad hoc vendor relationships
  • lead the development and implementation of contract management strategies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective contract execution
  • conducting risk assessments and develop risk mitigation strategies to minimize potential contract-related risks

 

Who you are 

This role will require:

  • excellent contract negotiation skills, attention to detail, organization and time management skills
  • excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • in depth knowledge of contract best practices, legal terms, and negotiation techniques, experience independently negotiating complex contracts through to execution
  • experience working with, implementing and expanding the use of internal third-party risk management and procurement tools (knowledge of GraphiteConnect a plus)
  • experience developing departmental strategies and RFI/RFP processes and questionnaires
  • experience with Microsoft Office (word, excel, power point) and Google suite

 

Qualifications:

  • a Bachelors’ Degree is required, advanced degrees (e.g., JD) a plus
  • at least 5 years of experience in contract evaluation, review, drafting and redlining, through to execution independently
  • at least 5 years of experience with vendor management
  • at least 5 years of experience with general and technology related contracts including Software as a Service (SaaS), hardware, software licensing, professional services, etc.

  • Have a strong transactional background, with extensive experience working cross functionally on a global
  • scale
  • Be hard-working, proactive, entrepreneurial and able to apply sound, pragmatic judgment in ambiguous situations
  • Thrive in a fast pace environment and effectively manage competing timelines

The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on a number of non-discriminating factors, including qualifications for the role, level, skills, experience, location, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at DV.

The estimated salary range for this role based on the qualifications set forth in the job description is between $68,000 - $129,000. This role will also be eligible for bonus/commission (as applicable), equity, and benefits. The range above is for the expectations as laid out in the job description; however, we are often open to a wide variety of profiles, and recognize that the person we hire may be more or less experienced than this job description as posted.
