As a Legal Counsel, you will utilize your experience as a government contracts attorney to provide legal support to the Dell Federal Sales segment. This will include advice concerning all laws and regulations governing acquisition of US federal contracts, including the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) and other FAR supplements, with a focus on commercial item procurement.

You will:

Identify and manage compliance issues and risk arising from US Federal government procurement and business practice including supporting timely responses to customer inquiries, reviews and audits
Provide proactive and effective support and counsel to Proposals, Contracts and Compliance teams in connection with US Federal bids/proposals, contract formation, contract performance and contract close-out
Assist in the review and negotiation of complex sales agreements (including commercial agreements with our Federal Systems Integrator partners), teaming agreements, subcontracts and Statements of Work; and review and analyze solicitation terms and conditions to determine exposure and develop recommendations to mitigate risk associated with onerous terms and conditions
Manage and diffuse customer escalations, assist in resolving disputes with partners and suppliers, and assess the merits of potential bid protests

Essential Requirements

JD degree and member in good standing of at least one state bar
5+ years of federal contracting experience in a law firm or corporate legal environment
Extensive knowledge of, and experience with, the FAR, DFARS and other federal government laws and regulations
Knowledge of, and experience with, compliance related provisions such as the International Trade in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations, Procurement Integrity Act and National Industrial Security Program Manual
Superior drafting and negotiation skills, including experience negotiating/reviewing teaming agreements, subcontracts and contracts with sophisticated government contractor companies.

Desirable Requirements

Eligibility to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance (active preferred)

Compensation

Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this position is $179,350.00 - $232,100.00
