Lyft is looking for an Employment Paralegal to join its Legal Team! You will work closely with Lyft’s in-house Employment Legal team and its People/HR team to provide a balanced mixture of project management, analytics, litigation, and administrative support. You should be a self-starter, highly motivated, and able to process direction easily and with a good attitude. Come join the fun at Lyft!

Responsibilities:

  • Organize and improve Employment Legal files, build processes and protocols for Employment Legal to reach maximum velocity
  • Supports attorneys in managing litigation
  • Assist attorneys in developing and updating employment-law related trainings, playbooks, and processes
  • Project manages large scale projects
  • Conducts legal, business, and/or media research to identify legal and HR trends
  • Fields and triages incoming advice and project requests from internal clients and external vendors, and analyze requests to spot internal trends
  • Manages and tracks administrative, pre-litigation and litigation matters, as well as external legal requests
  • Serve as primary point of contact with Outside Counsel and Lyft’s People Team on e-discovery, witness, and document gathering issues;
  • Calendars/dockets response dates
  • Provides administrative support on as needed basis to Lyft’s in-house employment attorneys
  • Thinks proactively about improving processes to help Lyft’s legal operations continue to scale effectively with incredible growth and partner with the Legal Operations team to implement
  • Liaises with other teams within the company and external parties to ensure efficient workflow and handling of requests
  • Draft template agreements with assistance of attorneys

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years relevant legal experience (preferably at a technology company) -- which means administrative, legal, operations, project management or other experience requiring attention to detail, event planning and time management
  • Interest in employment law and HR issues
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Exceptionally organized, efficient and communicative
  • Proficiency working in a Mac environment, and specifically with Google Apps (Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, etc.), Dropbox, Excel, Outlook and Word

_ _This role will be in-office on a hybrid schedule — Team Members will be expected to work in the office 3 days per week on Mondays, Thursdays and a team-specific third day. Additionally, hybrid roles have the flexibility to work from anywhere for up to 4 weeks per year. #Hybrid

_ The expected base pay range for this position in the San Francisco area is $84,000 - $105,000. Salary ranges are dependent on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience and geographic location. Range is not inclusive of potential equity offering, bonus or benefits.
