Job Title – Associate L1

Location : US, Remote

Reporting Manager: Project Manager

Role Summary : Work as a contract drafter, reviewer, and negotiator for various agreement types. Also, able to perform quality checks based on project guidelines and client instructions.

Responsibilities and Duties :

  • Draft and negotiate contracts using various contract management and productivity tracking tools.
  • Perform quality control based on project guidelines and client instructions.
  • Ability to be flexible and work with a global team.
  • Perform additional tasks and responsibilities assigned from time to time in the project.
  • Manage timelines and maintain personal records of work done.
  • Train team members on processes, including contract review and contract management.
  • Contribute to process improvement ideas and actively participate in process improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure SLAs (timeline, quality) are met individually.
  • Complete administrative tasks as required or requested.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs).
  • Experience in contract review projects, with added advantage if candidate has working experience in a managed service environment.
  • Ability to read and understand highly complex contractual language to identify and flag client risks and suggest mitigation as per the client’s playbook.
  • Problem-solving attitude and target-driven along with an eye for details.
  • Quick learner and adaptive to any process change in a minimal time period.
  • Customer service experience – effective communication skills and the ability to articulate issues sophisticatedly to clients.
  • Ability to comprehend questions and respond appropriately (both in writing and verbally).
  • Knowledge of contract management tools and proficiency in MS Office.
  • Logical thinking and good decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work independently with a self-learning attitude, disciplined, sincere, and requiring minimal supervision.
  • Responsible for compliance with ISO standards and other confidentiality requirements.

Education and Experience: Attorney or Legal Degree with 1-4 years’ experience of contract negotiation, administration, reviewing, and drafting.
