Experian is looking for a team-oriented attorney with in-house legal position to provide legal support for its North American businesses. You will report to the Vice President, Head of Legal and support Experian's Business Information Solutions unit which provides data, solutions, and insights about small businesses to help organizations make decisions about those businesses, from lending and credit risk to preventing fraud and Strategic Alliances which focuses on Experian's key commercial partnerships across departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide transactional, corporate, regulatory and other legal support for the daily operations of Experian North America's Business Information Solutions and Strategic Alliance functions, with the opportunity to expand to support other businesses and functions
• Draft and negotiate complex commercial agreements
• Advise in risk assessment and regulatory reviews for new products
• Provide advice on compliance with laws, including consumer protection and data privacy laws
• Learn and adapt to the requirements of the role

• A minimum of 5+ years of experience in a large law firm and/or in-house setting.
• Experience in complex transactional matters
• The highest standards for comprehensiveness and diligence in handling legal matters
• Experience handling privacy matters for the financial services industry or other regulated industries
• Be an active member of a congenial legal team, and work well with non-legal professionals
• Understand complex business issues, develop practical, strategies and communicate across different audiences
• Excellent academic credentials
• License to practice law in relevant jurisdictions
• Option to work hybrid if based in Costa Mesa, California
