The Analyst, Legal Systems is member of the legal team and works under the direction of the Manager, Legal Systems with input from other senior members of the Legal team. The Analyst, Legal Systems will work closely with attorneys, paralegals, executives, management, field personnel, clients, outside vendors, contractors and additional administrative support staff in the National Support Office to provide support integral to the organization’s operations relating to data and workflow management. This includes preparing, reviewing, examining, managing, administering, analyzing, negotiating, or revising all types of contracts. Such contracts may involve (i) the sale or purchase of products and services, transaction documents which could include the formation or transfer of different business interests and (iii) clinician employment and independent contractor agreements. The assignments and responsibilities require direct contact with internal and external clients, the ability to handle complex legal issues, the ability to work with significant independence and apply critical judgment, sometimes under challenging timelines. The Analyst will also be a key liaison between the legal team, Legal Systems Manager, and other internal business teams, related to system platforms leveraged by the Legal department. The Analyst will be analyzing technology platforms utilized by the legal department, including the data and technical aspects of the contract management process as it flows through the Contract Lifecycle Management (“CLM”) platform to ensure optimal functionality and efficiency for Legal users. Utilizing expertise to optimize how Legal team prepares, reviews, examines, manages, administers, analyzes, negotiates, revises, and stores contracts and data for each of its major workflows.

Responsibilities

  • As the subject matter expert, be able to properly train new and existing team members regarding Legal Department’s processes as they are enhanced or updated, including template configuration and maintenance.
  • Maintain and enhance various electronic platforms (Alteryx, Docusign, Salesforce and Smartsheet) to assist paralegals and attorneys execute agreements.
  • Will assist the Manager, Legal Systems troubleshoot, analyze, test and support services for one or more applications relating to the Legal Department. Legal department workflows and cross-functional processes.
  • Monitor, review, and enhance data flow and contract management in the CLM platform, Salesforce, and cross-functional databases.
  • Serve as the legal department subject matter expert on frequently used technology platforms with a focus on the Legal Department’s data and processes.
  • Manage technological aspects relating to legal department projects as needed or assigned to achieve efficient workflows and outputs, including but not limited to dynamic reporting, evaluating operating systems, and consulting various internal and external partners.
  • Under the guidance of Manager, Legal Systems, coordinate with organization’s subject matter experts to understand and acquire approvals as the legal department’s or other attendant systems may impact other departments.
  • Maintain and create detailed knowledge materials (SOPs, user guides..etcs) of the development and maintenance of CLM, including, but not limited to, legal processes and the system’s interaction with Salesforce for all Legal’s technical processes, and also providing process improvement upon analysis of operations.
  • Configure and assist with template management.
  • Organize incoming requests and determine use cases to identify, recommend and manage business processes for the Legal Department.
  • Prepare and analyze data to generate ad hoc reports relating, but not limited to, to volume, productivity, statuses, current standing for various business teams within the organization.
  • Analyze, report and track trends to support data driven-driven recommendations to develop best practices and procedures.
  • Perform other duties or conduct special projects as may be assigned from time to time.
  • Other duties as assigned by Manager, Legal Systems and management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Legal, Contract Management, Information Technology or related fields. In lieu of degree 5+ years of experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in a large corporate legal setting (in-house preferred, but not required).
  • Experience with Alteryx, Box, Smartsheet, Salesforce and Docusign CLM, SpringCM or similar contract lifecycle management system
  • Significant experience with contract administration with commercial and corporate contracts utilizing contract management technology.

Preferred

  • Master’s Degree or Professional Certification in Contract Management.
  • Experience with managing all types of contracts relating to corporate transactions, employment and procurement.
  • Familiarity with Alteryx, Box, Smartsheet, Mulesoft, and/or Litera is a plus.
  • Experience in team leadership and supervising others.

  • Ability to represent team on specific projects.

  • Ability to initiate, prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously without compromising the quality of the work.
  • Ability to convey pertinent technical information and instructions to application users in a specific, clear, and concise manner.
  • Well versed in legal and corporate terminology.
  • Ability to develop cross-functional working relationships.
  • Ability to understand and present statements of fact, law and basic legal strategy clearly, logically and concisely in a business-friendly manner.
  • Ability to proactively raise, recommend and resolve issues.
