About the Team
The US Commercial, IP & Law Enforcement Legal Team (the "Team") is a member of the AMS legal team covering the Americas region, primarily covering TikTok and supporting other products and services. The Team provides key commercial and intellectual property legal support for all TikTok's innovative initiatives, state-of-the-art products, and integrated platforms servicing our global video and other markets. We are organized into six functional verticals: content, corporate services, distribution, functional services, intellectual property, and B2C marketing. We help our business, product, and functional teams enable their vision by providing integrated legal guidance and support. The Team is growing fast and is seeking highly experienced, bright and capable legal professionals to join us.

As an attorney supporting our data-infrastructure team, you will be a key advisor to business leaders, playing a critical role in TikTok's US data center expansion. This includes colocation data center leasing, capacity expansion, cloud, compliance, and connectivity. You will bring excellent communication and organizational skills, along with a strong eagerness to work closely with your business partners. Below is a summary of the role responsibilities:

- Draft, negotiate, and finalize the full suite of contracts (including financing, leasing, design, construction and procurement) related to the establishment of purpose built data centers, cloud services and renewable energy
- Negotiate agreements with suppliers of colocation, network connectivity and server integration services across AMS
- Advise on laws and regulations (including environmental) relating to digital systems infrastructure across AMS and partner with legal stakeholders in other regions to drive the development and roll-out of standard policies and template agreements
- Distill complex information to deliver clear, precise and pragmatic advice to the business and support senior leadership, including in relation to decisions for strategically significant data systems infrastructure projects
- Partnering strategically with Finance, Corporate Development, Treasury, and Operations teams to offer practical, business-focused, and sound legal advice

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
- Strong legal experience in-house and/or in a reputable law firm working in data centers and the digital infrastructure field.
- Experience in providing legal support for complex digital infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and advising on risk management.
- Experience of working collaboratively to develop new documentation and best practices and experience of implementing legal processes in a fast-paced international environment which enables the business to scale.

Job Information:

【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (annually) The base salary range for this position in the selected city is 171000 - 287280 annually.​ Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.​ Our company benefits are designed to convey company culture and values, to create an efficient and inspiring work environment, and to support our employees to give their best in both work and life.
