Location: Midtown NYC Compensation: $100k-$115k base + bonus

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, compose, negotiate, and monitor distribution and placement agent contracts with external intermediaries both domestically and internationally, covering various entities such as business development companies, REITs, and private funds.
  • Serve as intermediary between the firm and counterparties to finalize distribution agreements and other time sensitive matters by coordinating with global colleagues and other stakeholders
  • Draft responses and organize materials in response to due diligence requests
  • Review client facing documentation
  • Provide day-to-day operations support to the Legal department
  • Develop and maintain trackers and materials using data from across the organization
  • Review non-disclosure agreements in coordination with external counsel
  • Develop strong working relationships and partnerships with other teams to support client needs
  • Ensure that all Legal team records are stored in secure, organized file systems to support shared knowledge and compliant record-keeping
  • Perform special projects and other responsibilities for the Legal team
  • Coordinate signatures for documents and various materials

What's Required:

  • 4+ years of experience at major law firm or in-house legal department, with minimum 2+ years experience working on distribution and placement agent agreements at a Financial Services firm preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Strong working knowledge of Monday.com, Salesforce and Office Suite, with emphasis on Excel
  • Demonstrated drive for results and ability to prioritize risks and projects to focus on what’s important in a fast- paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Excellent planning and organization skills; meticulous attention to detail is a must
