WHAT YOU’LL DO:

We are seeking an exceptional legal mind to join our prestigious team, where you will be at the forefront of shaping Kaseya’s strategic legal direction. As a pivotal member of our in-house legal department, you will bind your expertise to navigate complex challenges, provide insightful counsel, and drive innovation. Your influence will extend beyond the courtroom, as you collaborate cross-functionally to safeguard our business interests, champion compliance, and propel us toward new heights. If you have 5 years of relevant experience with a major law firm and/or as in-house counsel with a focus on litigation, privacy, and general commercial matters, including customer contracts, cybersecurity, or insurance, sign up today!

 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

A highly analytical and dynamic individual seeking exposure to sophisticated transactions.   You will report directly to our SVP, General Counsel.  Over time, you will have the opportunity to showcase your communication skills and work regularly with our senior management.

 

THE SCHEDULE: 

The role is full time in office based out of our Miami headquarters.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage the litigation tracker and each litigation matter, with the support of the business and outside counsel for more sophisticated matters.
  • Provide legal support in drafting, reviewing and negotiating contractual agreements, including customer and vendor agreements, supply agreements and more.
  • Provide legal advice, support and assist on an array of matters, including privacy and cybersecurity, while balancing business flexibility but minimizing risk.
  • Manage IP portfolio and issues related to IP.
  • Supervise and manage special projects from time to time.
  • Interact with various subsidiaries and business units across the globe in addressing legal concerns and issues.
  • Assist with all day-to-day legal matters as they arise.


WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • Admitted to a State Bar within the US, in “active and good standing”
  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school within the US
  • 4-7 years of post-Bar admission experience, preferably initially in a reputable commercial or corporate law firm and then within an in-house legal department, but either are acceptable
  • Ability to work efficiently and handle multiple high-priority matters at any given time
  • Strong analytical, negotiating, writing and communication skills with excellent interpersonal communications skills (written and verbal) required.
  • Team player who can also work independently and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Work beyond normal business hours is required occasionally to support business needs or projects
  • Proven experience drafting and negotiating a wide variety of commercial contracts and managing litigation
  • Strong understanding of software, privacy and cybersecurity laws
  • Experience with IP portfolios and related issues
  • Some understanding of employee and immigration law is a plus
  • Experience in a software company is preferred
