This position will work on a wide range of employee benefits and executive and director compensation matters. The individual will be responsible for providing advice on ERISA, tax, and corporate law compliance matters relating to employee benefits (including qualified and nonqualified defined contribution and defined benefit retirement benefits, health and welfare benefits, and wellness programs) and executive and director compensation arrangements. The position will assist the lead lawyers for retirement plans, compensation, and health and welfare plans, in drafting plan documents, agreements, equity awards, and employee communication materials and in working with human resources, tax, labor relations, and accounting on compliant administration of employee benefit plans and wellness programs. The position will assist in managing outside counsel in ERISA and employee benefit litigation matters. The position will also assist the corporate lawyers on the executive compensation and benefit plan elements of mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and other corporate transactions.
