Lowe’s seeks a creative, solutions-minded candidate to operate in a dynamic, fast-paced environment for a role that will support critical marketing, advertising, and charitable partnership workstreams to drive the company’s continued success as an omni-channel retailer. The primary purpose of this role is to identify legal risks and execute a mitigation plan by understanding legal issues and translating them into easily understood and practical legal advice and counsel to applicable client group, while driving desired business outcomes. This includes responsibility for managing, negotiating, drafting and overseeing a variety of complex and cutting-edge transactional deals and agreements and advising on various customer programs and consumer laws.
Your Impact
The position will: review, draft, negotiate and provide business-focused legal advice with respect to a wide variety of marketing, advertising, and charitable and community partnership transactions and contracts (including those involving advertising agencies, talent and influencers, events and other sponsorships across various industries, charitable co-ventures and grants, and marketing tech); establish and update agreement forms; conduct legal research; provide legal advice and counsel on advertising and consumer law issues impacting the business, including advertising legal compliance across various retail programs; develop, draft, or review sweepstakes, giveaways, and similar customer programs’ terms; and help develop, enhance, and maintain customer loyalty, discount, and pricing programs (including drafting or review program terms and conditions, reviewing proposed program structures, and advising on legal strategies to deliver business and program goals). This role supports client groups by providing practical legal advice and recommendations on day-to-day legal issues, enabling the client to meet its business objectives consistent with the Company's risk tolerance. The ideal candidate is a business-minded commercial attorney who understands business objectives and helps balance legal risks under tight deadlines. This person is also a creative problem-solver with a great attitude and a team player who is collaborative.
In addition to having outstanding research and analytical skills, top candidates will have superb communication skills and the ability to concisely explain, clarify and simplify complex information and legal concepts and help build practical, real-world solutions.
