Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated LAN Field Tech Specialist for a 6-month on-site contract in Sanford, NC. This position entails ensuring seamless integration of computer systems while providing expert support for local area networks. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver, staying informed about the latest developments in hardware and software technology.
Key Responsibilities
Install, maintain, and troubleshoot LAN hardware and software, including file servers, routers, switches, and other telecommunications equipment.Collaborate with Judicial Branch staff and local government officials, providing exceptional customer service.Assist in the relocation of judicial facilities, such as courthouses and office spaces.Conduct training sessions for judicial staff as needed, enhancing their technical proficiency.Test and recommend hardware and software configurations to optimize system performance.Participate in substantial technology deployment projects, including statewide software updates and server upgrades.
Required Skills
Proficient knowledge of Ethernet topology networks, Windows 10⁄11, Office 2016⁄365, SCCM/MECM, and PowerShell.Familiarity with computer systems integration, Cisco servers, routers, and switches.Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent customer service skills.Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical users.Experience troubleshooting hardware and software issues effectively.
Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution.A minimum of one (1) year of progressive experience in the field of information technology or a suitable combination of education and experience.

Compensation And Benefits
W-2 pay rate of $30 per hour.Travel reimbursement is available for up to 20% overnight travel required in contractor-owned vehicles.Standard working hours are from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday, with potential for overtime with prior management approval.
