Compliance Analyst

Posting Expires: Open Until Filled

Salary: $60,000/annually

General Description And Classification Standards

Works to ensure that the activities of the Office of the City Solicitor adhere to government regulations and program guidelines and policies by conducting, planning and coordinating operational activities of the City Solicitor’s Office diversion programs.

Supervision Received

Performs work under general supervision of a manager or director in the Office of the City Solicitor.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities _These are typical responsibilities for this position and should not be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. May perform other duties as assigned

_

  • Provides administrative support by resolving internal and external customers problems based on operational guidelines.
  • Ensures diversion participants have met the program specifications and guidelines to be eligible for diversion program participation.
  • Notifies and makes diversion participants aware of the Solicitor’s Office compliance process and adheres to government regulations and program guidelines.
  • Ensures participants comply in accordance with rules or instructions as given for case compliance.
  • Investigate business concerns and determine appropriate solution.
  • Aggregate and process information to ensure diversion cases are accurately and efficiently processed within guidelines and with high degree of accuracy.
  • Provides exceptional customer service skills communicates rationally, clearly, and with passion when helping internal and external customers.
  • Effectively prioritize and manage time and multiple projects with various and competing deadlines with high volume caseload.
  • Provides general administrative support by answering questions and responding to requests in person, email or telephone.
  • Maintains compliance with written procedures, verbal instructions, and e-mails, including all updates. Ensures that all files are maintained and secured on a daily basis.
  • Ensures that all files are entered into appropriate systems for permanent record keeping.
  • Ensures that the office complies with legal and regulatory requirements when processing cases.
  • Works cross-departmentally to ensure full spectrum of program compliances are met.
  • Works within the limit of legal and regulatory guidelines for diversion programs.
  • May oversee less skilled or temporary employees as needed.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Good oral and written communication skills; good organization and recordkeeping skills.
  • Ability to interact in a professional manner with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to explain the Office of the City Solicitor’s diversion program guidelines, rules, and regulations outlined for diversion programs concerns or issues clearly and objectively.
  • Ability to plan work schedule, multi-task, and sequence responsibilities to meet oversight requirements.
  • Ability to negotiate resolutions within program guidelines.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications – Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in a related field;

Three (3) years of experience in administering the compliance to Solicitor’s Office pretrial diversion programs including case processing, auditing, and financial management.

Preferred Qualifications – Education And Experience

Same as minimum

Licensures and Certifications

Position would be expected to have licensure or professional certifications appropriate to the position.

Required; GCIC certification

Work Environment:

Required physical, lifting, and sensory capabilities are requirements to perform the job successfully. Typical environmental conditions associated with job.

Lifting Requirements:

Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.

Light work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force to move objects.
