SCOPE OF ROLE
Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking an enthusiastic, hard-working and skilled Legal Analyst to join its legal team. This position will play a critical role within the legal department, a high-energy group of legal professionals dedicated to exceptional client service, value, and trustworthy advice that enables and empowers the business. This position provides administrative, litigation and compliance support to the Assistant General Counsel, Labor & Employment and the Assistant General Counsel, Compliance. We are seeking a professional with an executive presence to help ensure our team is premier.
The ideal candidates will excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with the ability to think critically and build on past experiences. This is a great role for someone who is looking to continue to build their legal support experience and be part of continuing to elevate our litigation and compliance processes, programs and initiatives.
Key Objectives And Responsibilities
Take an active role in matter intake by processing notices of claims and service of legal process, interviewing relevant witnesses, gathering necessary documents, identifying relevant subject matter experts within the Company and collaborating with the supervising attorney on strategic approach to each claimProvide litigation support to supervising attorneys managing a wide range of employment litigation, administrative and arbitration mattersReview and analyze EEOC Charges of discrimination and draft written response for review with supervising attorneyAct as Speak Up Program Administrator by providing training, overseeing investigation assignments, performing QA tasks, managing program vendors and preparing quarterly program board reportsSupport compliance policy and program development by drafting policies, coordinating change management plans and implementing policy-related process, tools, resources and trainingServe as the Corporate Policy Library administrator building cross-functional awareness and ensuring compliance with policy governance standardsManage the Compliance and Privacy mailboxes to ensure that issues raised are addressed in a timely mannerAssist attorneys with Legal Hub updates, file maintenance, case management plans, calendaring, invoice and check processing and routine communications with internal clients and outside counselDraft, revise, and maintain letters, presentations, checklists, reports, legal forms, templates, and other legal documentsPerform administrative tasks such as filing and claims reportingInitiate and manage litigation holds for formal demands, administrative agency charges and litigationSupport maintenance of internal databases to track matters, run required reporting and publish quarterly dashboards for executive reviewAssist with overflow projects and responsibilities in the Legal Department as needed
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of 7 years’ of prior experience in an HR or legal departmentExperience in conducting investigations and or compliance work within an organization strongly preferredDemonstrated problem-solving abilities using a detail-oriented approach to investigation processesWorking knowledge of corporate ethics principles, compliance regulations and applicable federal and state employment lawsExcellent oral and written communication skills

Additional Information
Why work for Cornerstone Building Brands?
The US base salary range for this role is $110,000 - $115,000 annually + STIP + medical, dental, vision benefits starting day 1 + 401k and PTO. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. (Full-time is defined as regularly working 30+ hours per week.)
