What We're Looking For

This position will provide legal support to Human Resources (HR) and business units across the enterprise. The person in this role will also be responsible for providing advice on employee and labor relations, talent management, mergers and acquisitions, DEI, employment litigation, and other related topics. This person must demonstrate strong initiative and excellent judgment while being proactive and strategic in addressing challenges, ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations, anticipating risks, minimizing liability, maintaining ethical standards, protecting our reputation and advancing the organization’s interests. This position will need to develop relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally. They should possess strong verbal and written communication skills.

What You'll Do

Provide advice to senior business and HR leaders regarding employment law and other related topics such as labor relations, immigration, compensation, etc.Manage and supervise external counsel and handle disputes through arbitration and litigation.Assist with internal investigations.Work closely with various departments within HR and with business unit personnel on a variety of employment law and other related matters.Coach HR professionals and managers on how to manage people in accordance with applicable laws and company policies.Advise on global mobility matters, including tax, social insurance, housing, etc.Negotiate and draft agreements and letters relating to employment law, global mobility, compensation, confidentiality, non-disclosure, severance, settlement, releases, waivers, immigration, real estate, and leases.Participate in corporate transactions, due diligence reviews, and audits.Monitor changes in relevant laws and regulations and communicate those changes to HR leadership and managers.

Qualifications

Juris Doctor from accredited law school.Admitted to the bar in at least one of the fifty states.At least six years of relevant professional experience; prior in-house experience representing large corporations in the health care field preferred.

Preferred Skills

Experience advising clients on global mobility, employment law, labor relations, and other human resources issues.Ability to effectively interact with all levels of management and HR leaders.Strong organizational skills, time management skills, and ability to meet deadlines.Demonstrated success influencing all levels of an organization.Proven negotiation and conflict resolution skills.Effective communicator and presenter at all levels.Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
