SUMMARY: We are seeking a Paralegal to assist in the Employment / Labor Group to support all phases of employment litigation. The ideal candidate will be a recent liberal arts graduate with an eye toward law school. The candidate should have strong written and verbal skills, and be able to thrive in a fast-paced collaborative work environment. We are seeking candidates who will be trained to draft notices, summonses; administer and oversee document inspections at the request of counsel; research and analyze case law; shepardize case and cite check briefs; communicate with court personnel regarding the status of cases; electronically edit documents relating to litigation; proofread documents to be filed in court. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Prepare, organize, and file documents and correspondence with the court. Conduct legal research. Update and maintain docketing and filing as well as internal databases. Prepare witness and other materials for case preparation. Organize relevant documents for attorney review and case preparation; Prepare for depositions, including the preparation of discovery requests; facilitate service of process and coordinating examinations before trial Draft pleadings, motions, briefs. Perform administrative duties (calendar hearings and deadlines, organize case files, manage logistics, etc.) Maintain pleadings and discovery indexes. Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs and appendices. Aid attorneys with interrogatories and other discovery requests Assist between trial teams and internal/external third parties; conducts investigations; engage in on-line legal research; develop pleadings; prepare motions and other pertinent legal documents/forms for review by assigned attorney; assist in discovery. Accurately and consistently track and record all related billable and non-billable time; Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs and appendices;

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Investigative mind and strong research skills Excellent written and communication and time management skills Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word
