Description

Come make history with Amazon's legal department! We're looking for a talented attorney to help support Goodreads, the world’s largest site for readers and book recommendations.

Key job responsibilities

Providing day-to-day and strategic advice to business partners on new and existing initiatives Advising on issues involving content policy and online communities, and related existing and emerging regulations Identifying legal risks and proposing mitigation strategies Working cross-functionally with legal and non-legal teams

Some travel, domestic and international, may be required.

Basic Qualifications

5+ years of legal experience Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

Experience of a mix of corporate law firm and in-house work Experience supporting businesses with user-generated content Experience with or interest in content policy and privacy

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $138,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $229,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
