Mayo Clinic’s Legal Department is seeking highly motivated candidates for the Contract Manager position. Candidates for this position shall have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, and experience in managing complex contracts independently within a team environment.
The Contract Manager is responsible for contract development, review, analysis and negotiation of complex contractual arrangements across all of Mayo Clinic. Ensures contract compliance with current law/regulations and Mayo's policies, procedures and practices. Independently manages a large number of simultaneous contract negotiations between Mayo Clinic and external parties, which includes resolving conflicting interests and objectives, assisting in the development of negotiation strategies, identifying areas of risk, and offering alternatives for management of such risk. Provides consultation and guidance to Mayo Clinic internal clients including administrators, providers, business development, other contract departments, and other internal parties with respect to contract matters. Participates in process improvement initiatives, special projects, and development of educational resources.
The Contract Manager in this position will primarily focus on business transactions, including commercial transactions and data privacy and information security related agreements. Therefore, the ideal candidate will have contracting experience in data privacy agreements, information security agreements, health care and research related agreements, licensing, services, software and other technology-related contracting. Contracting experience in domestic and international data privacy, including but not limited to HIPAA, CCPA, and GDPR is strongly preferred. Additional duties of the Contract Manager may vary based on department needs.

This position is primarily remote. However, this individual must live within driving distance from our AZ, FL, Rochester, MN, or Eau Claire, WI Mayo Clinic site.
