About the Role:
Fragomen is seeking a highly skilled Business Immigration Attorney or Paralegal with experience in EB-5 , particularly in Source of Funds (SOF) documentation. This role requires strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and exceptional writing capabilities to draft and support comprehensive documentation of lawful source and path of funds for EB-5 investors.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, review, and analyze documentation to establish the lawful Source of Funds (SOF) for EB-5 petitions.
- Draft detailed declarations and narratives explaining the source, path, and legitimacy of investment funds.
- Coordinate with clients, accountants, and financial experts to gather, verify, and organize necessary supporting documentation.
- Conduct legal research and stay updated on EB-5 program regulations and policies related to SOF compliance.
- Communicate effectively with clients to guide them through the documentation process, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
- Collaborate with the legal team to prepare and file Form I-526 petitions and respond to Requests for Evidence (RFEs) from USCIS.
Qualifications:
- For Attorneys:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- 2+ years of experience with EB-5 petitions and Source of Funds.
- For Paralegals:
- Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certificate.
- 2+ years of experience as a paralegal in business immigration law, specifically with EB-5 petitions and Source of Funds.
Additional Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of EB-5 program requirements, including financial documentation and compliance standards.
- Strong legal writing and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to craft persuasive narratives and declarations.
- Proficiency in reviewing and analyzing financial documents such as tax returns, bank statements, and business records.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with high-net-worth individuals and an understanding of their unique needs in the EB-5 process.
Compensation:
Commensurate with experience.
