Role Summary

We are seeking a Legal Operations Manager to join the Apogee legal team. In this newly created role, you will be the central point of contact managing the contract request process at Apogee. As a face of the legal department, you will work with all functions across the company and administer the contract management system. Additionally, you will provide operational support to members of the legal department. Strong customer service skills and willingness to assist employees with the contract process will be key to success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

Provide legal operations support for the legal department including responding to questions regarding legal processes, the contract lifecycle management systemOperate as the company subject matter expert for our contract management system (Agiloft-based system preferred) as well as other systems including SSO, DocuSign, VeevaDevelop and implement training documentation and live virtual training sessions regarding legal processes and best practices, the contract management system workflows and requirementsFoster strong and collaborative relationships of trust and create an environment of open communication with various departments of the company who contribute to the company’s drug discovery and development effortsStrong client service orientation with proven experience effectively supporting internal clientsEffective oral and written communication skillsStrong organizational skillsActively seek to identify ways to improve processes, procedures and tools to enhance efficiencies in the contracting processDevelop a thorough understanding of and familiarity with the company’s business, code of responsibility, its people, products, markets, facilities, customers and competitors and utilizes that knowledgeContribute to cultivating a company culture that reflects a strong commitment to ethics and patients and Apogee’s core values of caring, originality, resiliency and egoless

Ideal Candidate

A minimum of 5 years of paralegal and legal operations experience at a top law firm and/or in-house, preferably providing corporate and transactional legal support to companies in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical and/or healthcare or life sciences industriesUndergraduate degree and/or Paralegal certification requiredMust have experience with contract management systems (Agiloft strongly preferred)Experience working with publicly traded companies a plusMature and professional demeanor with a high degree of self-motivation and high level of business acumenOutstanding communication skills, ability to communicate complex issues clearly and succinctly, relationship-building and influencer skillsIndependent judgment, attention to detail, a desire to learn, and an ability to take on and prioritize a wide variety of complex matters while meeting tight deadlinesSelf-motivated, excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work under pressure and to manage the expectations of internal clientsPosition requires 10% travel to company and functional meetings

The anticipated salary range for candidates for this role will be $130,000 - $145,000. The final salary offered will depend on several factors, which may include, but is not limited to relevant years of experience, educational background, and geography.
