We're hiring a Senior Contract Specialist to join our Commercial Legal Team, supporting technology and marketing transactions as well as transactions for internal functions at EA (e.g., Finance, Global Affairs, Workplace Experience).

You are an effective communicator who is experienced in developing working relationships across teams. You are looking for opportunities to learn and grow.

You will report to the Managing Commercial Counsel and be based in one of the following EA office locations in hybrid work model: (1) Redwood Shores, CA, (2) Los Angeles, CA, (3) Seattle, WA, or (4) Vancouver, Canada.

Your Responsibilities Include

Under the guidance and direction of the Managing Commercial Counsel and the other attorneys on the Commercial Legal Team, and in line with EA's internal guidance, you will draft and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements including software and content licenses, consulting and other services agreements, SaaS agreements (including data protection agreements), hardware purchase agreements, and other agreements.Review, make changes to, and negotiate counterparty paper and adapt EA templates as needed for various transactions.Quickly escalate issues to appropriate internal teams where needed and collaborate with those teams to find creative solutions.Participate in recurring meetings with legal colleagues and business partners to build a knowledge of EA's business and determine how to prioritize work.Collaborate with colleagues within the Legal department to contribute to internal projects, including updates to contract templates and other internal tools and reference materials.

Qualifications

You hold a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience and a paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program.You have 5+ years of experience as a paralegal, ideally with technology or entertainment clients.You excel in collaborating with teams across EA and legal colleagues.You can manage the entire contract process from request to execution under supervision.You show the ability to work reliably to meet goals.You have experience with contract lifecycle management systems.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). BASE SALARY RANGES

California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento)$82,500 - $122,900 USD

Washington (depending on location e.g. Seattle vs. Spokane)$76,000 - $109,200 USD

British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria)$73,200 - $101,700 CAD In the US, we offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.

In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
