Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated LAN Field Tech Specialist for a 6-month on-site contract in Sanford, North Carolina. This role requires proficient understanding of computer systems to ensure seamless integration of various components while staying up-to-date with evolving hardware and software technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Provide essential support for local area networks through the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of LAN hardware and software, including file servers, routers, and switches.Collaborate with Judicial Branch staff and local government officials to address and resolve technical issues.Manage the relocation and operational setup of judicial facilities, ensuring a smooth transition.Deliver training sessions for judicial staff as required.Test and propose hardware and software configurations to optimize performance.Engage in significant technology deployment projects, which may encompass statewide software updates and server upgrades.Maintain a safe working environment, exercising caution when handling hazardous electrical computer components.

Required Skills

Comprehensive knowledge of Ethernet topology networks, Windows 10⁄11, and Office 2016⁄365.Familiarity with SCCM/MECM, BitLocker, Cisco AMP, and Cisco ISE.Proficient in Windows Server 2012⁄16 and PowerShell, as well as software packages like TN3270, SharePoint Designer, and Adobe Professional.Strong skills in installing personal computers and peripherals.Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.Capacity to communicate complex technical information effectively to non-technical users.

Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Math, Engineering, or a related technical field from an accredited institution.Minimum of one (1) year of progressive experience in the field of information technology, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Compensation And Benefits

Competitive W-2 rate of $30 per hour.Eligible for travel reimbursement for up to 20% overnight travel using contractor-owned vehicles.
