Plans, organizes, coordinates, and oversees the development, implementation, and administration of Company-wide compliance services, standards, and activities.

Primary Duties

  • Provides assistance, guidance, and direction to Business Unit personnel regarding the following functions and/or activities:
  • Leak survey/leak repair/leakage control programs
  • Regulation and measurement compliance
  • Technical training
  • Safety
  • Cathodic protection design and compliance
  • Technical records
  • Regulatory compliance inspections or audits
  • Establishes work schedules and/or ensures work schedules are in places that are necessary to achieve completion of regulatory compliance work, procedures, and reports.
  • Develop and maintain operating and maintenance standards for the Company to ensure public safety and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provides technical review of projects and conducts quality control audits of compliance work to ensure system integrity, regulatory compliance, and employee and customer safety.
  • Assists during the annual capital budget development regarding compliance-related expenditures. Review budget requests and make recommendations for submission and approval.
  • Evaluate and establish standards for tools and equipment used in compliance activities.
  • Implements policies, procedures, and standards to ensure proper administration of activities.
  • Develop and monitor functional area budgets to ensure efficient utilization of resources. Plans, directs, and reviews the achievement of area goals and objectives within established company policies.
  • Maintains adequate staffing levels to ensure proper administration of activities. Selects, develops, motivates, and evaluates the performance of assigned employees.

Minimum Requirements

EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE LEVEL:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field and seven years of progressively responsible professional experience in the natural gas industry operations management and/or compliance work or
  • General education knowledge acquired through a high school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) and nine years of progressively responsible professional experience in the natural gas industry operations management and/or compliance work.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS:

  • Requires the ability to communicate, persuade, and/or influence internal and/or external customers at a high level, such as senior management, on technical and/or complex matters.

NUMERIC SKILLS:

  • Requires the ability to perform algebraic, trigonometric, geometric operations or moderately complex statistical methods and/or apply high-level accounting methods for financial reporting.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

  • Requires advanced knowledge of various software applications to create complex documents, reports, and graphics.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Requires occasionally performing activities including, but not limited to, bending, stooping, grasping, reaching, twisting, turning, and/or lifting.

WORK CONDITIONS:

  • Works in an office environment.

OTHER INFORMATION:

  • Requires a valid driver's license.
