Expected salary range of $75,600 to $84,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).
Primary Purpose Of Position
This role will support the Manager, Legal Operations in areas including financial budget analysis and reporting, outside counsel management, document management, legal team communications, business planning, IT project management, vendor management, staff onboarding, and general Legal department support. This position is responsible for assisting in preparation of financial reports, processing payment of Legal invoices and contracts, organizing department documentation, and providing support for Legal IT projects and use of legal technology, among other things. The Legal Operations Analyst will have strong attention to detail, exhibit a high level of professionalism, be customer-service oriented, and be able to work well with people at all levels inside and outside the company, including clients, outside counsel, consultants, and other vendors. The candidate will also be able to react with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick response or turnaround, think creatively and strategically, exercise strong judgment, and be proactive and innovative in solving problems.
Primary Duties And Accountabilities
Provide support to Manager, Legal Operations for financial analysis and reporting including: Legal's long-range financial plan and forecasts, annual business plan, preparation of monthly accruals, expense report review; outside counsel and matter-related expenses; law firm DEI reporting. Engage with IT partners to perform activities relating to Legal IT projects or processes, such as assisting with assessment of IT project proposals and legal technology software solutions, providing support for existing legal technology solutions, and building client knowledge through trainings or individual support. Primary lead for Legal Support Team mailbox; manage Legal equipment ordering and tracking; submit technology access requests for new hires; support new hire onboarding; maintain Legal Teams site, department distribution lists, and org chart. Process outside counsel invoices ensuring that the appropriate accounting codes are charged; vendor maintenance; process non-outside counsel invoices (memberships, subscriptions, etc.); prepare contract requisitions, process contract change requests, and other contracting tasks as required. Provide support to Manager for Legal's matter management system including vendor and timekeeper, outside counsel billing inquiries, and vendor email database.Legal Operations team projects / duties as assigned including document management, department communications, contract life cycle management, and generative AI utilization.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with 2 to 5 years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Effective financial analysis skills, combined with effective written and verbal communication skills. Appropriate technical skills (High proficiency in MS Excel).Working knowledge of Legal Operations & industry practices.Thorough computer-base analytical skill (e.g., Microsoft applications, database management, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with e-billing and matter management systems, document management systems, and contract management systems.
