Salary/Hourly Rate

$175,000 – $185,000 plus bonus

Position Overview

This Legal Counsel role focuses primarily on supporting our sales team by drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts with clients and partners. As a key legal advisor, you will ensure our agreements align with company policies, industry standards, and legal requirements, while enabling the business to scale efficiently. This Legal Counsel is a hybrid role offers the flexibility of working both remotely and onsite at our Salt Lake City office.

Responsibilities Of The Legal Counsel

Contract Drafting and Negotiation: Draft, review, and negotiate SaaS sales agreements, master service agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and related documents Provide guidance to the sales team on contract terms, risks, and legal implications Risk Management: Identify potential risks in contractual terms and propose solutions to mitigate them Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a liaison between the sales, finance, and operations teams to address contract-related matters Work closely with external legal counsel as needed Process Improvement: Develop and refine templates, playbooks, and workflows to streamline contract negotiation processes Educate internal stakeholders on legal best practices and contract compliance Qualifications For The Legal Counsel

Licensed to practice law 3+ years of legal experience, with a focus on commercial contracts (SaaS experience strongly preferred) Proven track record of negotiating sales contracts, preferably in a SaaS or technology environment Solid understanding of data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and software licensing Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Education Requirements

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school is required
