About The Role
Boston Scientific is seeking an experienced employment law attorney to join the Legal Department as Senior Legal Counsel. The successful candidate will join a collegial and hard-working team of employment attorneys who work closely with Human Resources, Employee Relations, and Global Compliance to support the company’s various businesses and functions. This position will be based in Arden Hills, MN, Maple Grove, MN, or Marlborough, MA, and will report to Director, Employment Law.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
Review and provide counsel regarding restrictive covenants and employment agreements Communicate on behalf of company regarding restrictive covenants and employment agreementsProvide legal advice and counsel to the business relating to employment issues, including hiring, termination, reductions in force, performance management, wage and hour, leaves and accommodations, and compliance with non-discrimination laws.Provide employment law support for due diligence and integration efforts relating to mergers and acquisitionsProvide employment law support for Human Resources, Employee Relations, and Global Compliance investigationsRespond on behalf of company to attorney demand letters and agency matters, including government-initiated inquiries and auditsPartner with litigation counsel in employment litigation mattersDraft separation agreements and negotiate with counsel as necessaryProvide counsel on various human resources policies and programs, including diversity and inclusion efforts
Required Qualifications
J.D.; admission to MN, MA or another state bar; in good standing in all jurisdictions where admitted7+ years of relevant experience practicing employment lawStrong command of employment laws, regulations, and best practicesExperience handling non-compete and other restrictive covenant mattersExcellent written and verbal communications, client relationships, and business acumenMust possess a strong work ethic; be creative, proactive, enthusiastic, flexible, self-directed, and highly ethical
