Associate Senior Legal Counsel

The Opportunity

This attorney will be based in one of our West Coast offices, and will be working on revenue producing enterprise licensing and sales support matters, involving Adobe’s cloud-based services, on-premise software, support programs, and professional services – areas that are significant to Adobe's success in the enterprise software area.

What You’ll Do

Help us grow a dynamic enterprise software business!

75-80% of this role will focus on negotiating contracts with customers buying Adobe's enterprise Digital Experience and Digital Media solutions. Additionally, provide legal counsel to Sales/ Sales Management (and possibly other internal groups, such as the Product teams, Privacy/Security team, and Consulting Services teams) on a variety of licensing topics including cloud services terms, IP, commercial terms, data privacy, AI and more.

Lead, co-lead or participate in a handful of team/ group projects.

Mentor junior attorneys and new hires.

What You Need to Succeed

Requires proven experience (minimum 7 years) in complex, enterprise software (SaaS/Cloud and on-premise software) contract negotiations, and a successful track record supporting sales professionals.

Meaningful experience and subject matter knowledge in key areas like software licensing, data privacy (ex. GDPR, CCPA), information security, and key contract provisions like indemnification , warranties, SLAs, etc.

Must have a positive, can-do demeanor, be able to provide solutions that balance legal and business concerns, be service oriented, build and influence with a cross-functional network, and be an excellent teammate.

Experience with healthcare related issues (ex. HIPAA, Medicare) is definitely a plus.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several  U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $136,500 -- $261,000 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
