The Opportunity:We are partnering with a leading global fashion retailer to place a Labor Relations Counsel. This critical role involves managing labor relations, union negotiations, employment law compliance, and acting as a strategic partner on labor matters across the U.S. and Canada. The selected candidate will work closely with the labor relations specialist and key stakeholders to provide legal advice and manage compliance with collective bargaining agreements and labor regulations. Key Qualifications:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.Active license to practice law and in good standing.At least 5 years of labor law experience, with a strong focus on collective bargaining, union negotiations, and general employment law.In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local labor laws, NLRB regulations, and collective bargaining principles.Proven ability to provide strategic guidance on employment-related investigations and dispute resolution.Strong mentorship skills to guide junior team members.Excellent communication, negotiation, and advocacy skills. Responsibilities:Lead labor negotiations and manage relationships with union representatives.Advise management and HR teams on labor law compliance, EEOC claims, and employment policies.Mentor junior team members and provide training on union-related matters.Oversee labor grievances, investigations, and employment law litigation support.Collaborate with internal teams and external labor counsel to ensure best practices in labor relations. Compensation:Competitive salary up to $200,000, plus quarterly performance bonuses.
