Overview
Burlington’s Ethics & Compliance program is focused on supporting and promoting a culture of ethical conduct and a commitment to compliance with law and policy within a nimble, results-driven, and growing organization. Reporting into Legal, the Manager, Ethics & Compliance will advance the company’s enterprise-wide compliance program, coordinating corporate compliance initiatives and working closely with embedded compliance teams and cross-functional partners. This position will focus on the development, rollout, administration and monitoring of key corporate compliance initiatives, systems, trainings, and controls considering the evolving regulatory and legal environment, the company’s business objectives, and industry standards.
A Day in the Life:
Responsible for coordination of the company’s enterprise-wide compliance program, assisting with the development of initiatives, best practices, strong processes, and helping to assess programmatic and operational risks.Support awareness of the Code of Conduct, including serving as an authoritative point of contact for questions regarding application of the Code, and developing annual and refresher training in coordination with Legal, HR, and other partners as appropriate.Support the policy governance process, including enhancing processes related to maintaining, updating, reviewing, approving, and documenting corporate policies, in coordination with business partners, as appropriate.Develop and coordinate annual Ethics & Compliance trainings and communications plan on timely issues relevant to Burlington’s business. Design and develop programs and launch web-based and in-person compliance training initiatives on these and other topics in coordination with business partners as appropriate. Implement platforms that support the company’s compliance controls and data management as needed; support the development of company resources and tools to foster a culture of ethics & compliance, including an ethics & compliance intranet, newsletters, or other similar resources as appropriate. Provide input and data on compliance and investigative metrics for inclusion in corporate reports and Board materials.Build relationships with cross-functional compliance partners; create channels and processes for regular sharing of information and data.Heighten awareness of industry standards and best practices for compliance; support the development of a compliance culture at Burlington.
You’ll Come With:
A Bachelor’s degree in relevant field required. Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP) or equivalent compliance certification strongly preferred.6+ years of experience in a compliance function, advising public companies on enterprise-wide compliance programs and/or administering and supporting such compliance programs.Strong commitment to integrity, ethical business conduct and compliance with the law.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint and Excel, Navex (or similar platform), PowerBI and experience creating and managing compliance dashboards.The ability to exercise good judgment, strategic thinker, highly organized, process-driven, detail-oriented, responsible, and conscientious.Strong written and oral communication skills.Ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines and confidential matters with discretion and sensitivity; exercises good judgment under pressure .Professional and approachable; demonstrated ability to interface with executive and non-executive colleagues across an enterprise.
